Year 7 2026 Christine Howe STEM Academic Scholarship

The Scholarship Discount Amount may be either a Full or Partial scholarship as described below:

1. A “Full” scholarship entails a 100% discount on School-based Fees and Diocesan Fees (which includes the Diocesan Tuition Fee and Building Levy).
2. A “Partial” scholarship is a 1/3 discount on School-based Fees and Diocesan Fees (which includes the Diocesan Tuition Fee and Building Levy).

The agreed-upon percentage discount (being the Scholarship Discount Amount) will be applied to the Students’ fees as determined and notified by CSPD.

Subject to these Terms and Conditions, the Scholarship will apply from the Discount Commencement Date (being the day the School notifies you that your child has been awarded a Scholarship) until the end of the Student’s period of enrolment at the School (Discount Period).

CSPD reserves the right to vary or discontinue this Scholarship during the Discount Period in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.

The Eligibility Requirements for the Scholarship are as follows:

1. Initial Eligbility:

• the Student must be enrolled or applying to enrol at the School;
• the Student must have submitted a completed scholarship application (including academic portfolio and cover letter outlining why the Student would like to be considered for the Scholarship ) which demonstrates exceptional ability in Mathematics and Science ; and
• the school must have offered the Student the Scholarship in writing.

2. Ongoing Eligibility for the entirety of the Discount Period:

• Academic Performance: Maintain academic performance in the NAPLAN 'exceeding' range and above the 80th percentile in ACER PAT testing.
• Attendance: Maintain 90% attendance (excluding documented medical/pastoral absences).
• Behaviour: Adhere to the CSPD Behaviour Policy. Serious breaches may lead to discontinuation.

1. CSPD or the School may refuse a scholarship application if initial eligibility requirements set out in clause C.1 of these Terms and Conditions are unmet at the time of application.
2. The Scholarship may be discontinued if the Student fails to maintain the Ongoing Eligibility requirements set out in clause C.2 of these Terms and Conditions or if false or misleading information is provided in the scholarship application.
3. Written notice (including reasons) will be provided for discontinuations.
4. Students who leave the School or have their Scholarship discontinued in accordance with these Terms and Conditions may be required to repay a pro-rata portion of discounted fees at CSPD’s discretion.

1. The Scholarship Discount Amount does not apply to any Visa Fees (Full Fee Paying Overseas Students, Visitor, Diocesan Education Fee, Temporary Residents) payable under Your enrolment contract (if applicable).
2. Any outstanding fees payable by You to CSPD relating to a period before the Scholarship Discount Amount is applied will remain due and payable by You.

Scholarship benefits are strictly non-transferable between students and cannot be converted to cash equivalents or other forms of credit.

There is no automatic transfer of the Scholarship into another CSPD school. The Scholarship will cease if the Student is no longer enrolled at the School.

Any fees payable by you under the school fees schedule may be varied or waived depending on the amount of the Scholarship Discount Amount. If any other fees are varied or waived as part of the Scholarship Discount Amount the School will confirm this in writing to You.

The Scholarship Discount Amount provided under the Scholarship cannot be used in conjunction with any other discounts offered by the School or CSPD, including but not limited to the Byallawa School Fee Co-contribution Scheme, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island Fee-free initiative or any other concessions.

A formal appeals process exists to address concerns regarding scholarship decisions, including decisions to discontinue the Scholarship. Applicants or Students wishing to contest a decision must submit a written appeal to the School Principal within ten business days of notification of the relevant decision.

Such appeals will be reviewed by an independent panel, with unresolved matters potentially escalating to the CSPD Executive Team for final determination, at CSPD’s discretion.

1. This Scholarship is subject to review at the end of 2026.
2. CSPD reserves the right to:
   a. modify discount amounts or eligibility criteria; or
   b. discontinue the Scholarship entirely.
3. Families will receive 30 days’ written notice of any material changes to the Scholarship or these Terms and Conditions.

The School will provide aggregated program outcomes to CSPD administration to assess the Scholarship's overall effectiveness and inform future policy decisions.

These Terms and Conditions represent the complete agreement between the School and You in relation to the Scholarship, superseding all prior understandings or representations regarding the Scholarship. CSPD reserves the right to interpret these provisions and make final determinations on all matters relating to the administration of the Scholarship.
