On Friday the 6th of June, I had the pleasure of taking ten Year 10 students to the Blacktown City Council Ignite Forum.
The forum allowed visiting students to have their say on a number of strategic plans affecting the future of Blacktown. The students were able to represent the future of Blacktown and express their concerns and ideas.
As always, the students were fantastic on the day and it was great to see them actively participating with members of other schools from the community. Thank you to the following students:

🤝 Faith in Action Our Nagle students generously volunteered their afternoon to prepare sandwiches for those in need within our community. In the evening, they supported the St Vincent de Paul Society Vinnies Van, visiting those living on the margins to serve food and drink with kindness, dignity, and respect. This meaningful experience reflects the compassion and generosity of our students, as they put their faith into action and made a real difference in the lives of others. Our Year 11 and Year 12 Hospitality students recently took their learning beyond the classroom, participating in a Barista Basics course at CBD College. Students developed hands-on skills and confidence as they explored the art of coffee making, from perfecting espresso shots to texturing milk and creating a range of popular café beverages. This valuable experience provided real industry insight and a true taste of what it is like behind the café counter. Our Year 10 students recently participated in a powerful Formation Day focused on becoming their best selves through authenticity, courage, and reflection. 💛 Led by guest presenter Chris Doyle, students explored themes of personal growth, reconciliation, and the importance of prayer and meditation. Through engaging sessions and meaningful reflection, they were challenged to think deeply about who they are and who they are called to be. The day concluded with activities that strengthened connection and community, reminding our students of the importance of supporting one another. ⚔️ Year 8 Medieval Day Our Year 8 students enjoyed an incredible Medieval Day thanks to Rampant Historical Incursions, who brought history to life through an engaging and interactive experience. From the medieval show to the jester performance and the ever-competitive Squire’s Run, our students were fully immersed and eager to learn. Their enthusiasm for the fascinating (and sometimes surprising!) facts made the day both fun and memorable. This hands-on experience sparked curiosity and brought history beyond the classroom. 🌺 ANZAC Day Ceremony Our Nagle community recently came together to commemorate ANZAC Day and honour the courage, service, and spirit of those who have served our country. We were privileged to hear from guest speaker Midshipman Keya Trivedi RAN, who shared powerful insights about friendship, camaraderie, and the meaning of serving something greater than oneself.
