📖 Exploring the Power of Poetry Over the past two weeks, our Year 8 Lumen class has been diving into the world of verse, exploring how poetry can help uncover and express “buried secrets.” Working collaboratively, students analysed Disconnect by Kirli Saunders, exploring layers of meaning and sharing insights to build thoughtful and powerful responses. 💧 Big Water Walk – Faith in Action Our Nagle students recently took part in the CSPD / Caritas Australia Big Water Walk, spending the day carrying buckets of water in solidarity with the millions of people around the world who walk long distances to collect water each day. Through this powerful experience, our students pushed themselves both physically and emotionally, gaining a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by many communities. Along the way, students also took time to pray and reflect on social justice, living out our call to serve others. 🦁 Bringing Business Concepts to Life Last Week, our Year 11 and 12 Business Studies students enjoyed a fantastic learning experience during their visit to Sydney Zoo. The excursion gave students the opportunity to explore how a real business operates by examining the four key business functions: Operations, Marketing, Finance and Human Resources. Guided by the Sydney Zoo team, students took part in an engaging walking tour where they explored how the zoo generates revenue, analysed elements of a SWOT, and observed how daily operations are managed. This hands-on experience helped bring classroom learning to life and strengthened our students’ understanding of how businesses operate in the real world. 700+ Unite for Project Compassion Big Water Walk
More than 700 students and staff from 23 schools across Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese (CSPD) came together for Caritas Australia’s Big Water Walk in support of Project Compassion. Beginning at Parramatta Park, students carried buckets of water along a 4km route, gaining a glimpse of the daily journey faced by people in developing communities, especially women and children, in search of clean water.

💜 Project Compassion – Faith in Action Our Nagle students recently put their faith into action by supporting Caritas Australia’s Project Compassion during the season of Lent. Through their generous donations, our students joined communities across Australia in standing together against poverty and supporting those most in need. They have also created a Water Wall, recognising all members of our college community who have contributed through their generous donations. This meaningful act of service reflects the compassion and generosity within our Nagle community. Last week, our Nagle students rolled up their sleeves to prepare sandwiches and snack packs for members of our community doing it tough. Working alongside the St Vincent de Paul Society Vinnies Van, students helped deliver not only food, but also conversation, kindness, and compassion to those who needed it most. This experience was a powerful reminder of the importance of service and living our faith through action.
