Congratulations to Derica Elogious - 2018 Bishop of Parramatta Awards for Student Excellence recipient.
Each year, the Bishop of Parramatta Awards for Student Excellence recognise the achievements Year 12 students from Catholic schools across the Diocese.
This year's recipient from Nagle College was our College Captain, Derica Elogious. Her citation below shows why Derica was a deserved recipient.
Derica Elogious has held the lantern high in her years at Nagle College, providing witness to the Gospel values.
She has been inspired by Nano Nagle's service to those in need through her participation in the Winter Sleepout, Project Compassion and the Vinnies Van.
Derica has served the school faithfully as school captain, leading by example at the weekly school Mass.
She is a gifted public speaker and debater who has represented the school with distinction. Derica has ensured that she has been a focused and committed learner who has achieved at the highest levels across her programme of studies.
She is an active member of her parish, providing youth leadership and service.
Derica is a person of faith, an outstanding student and an inspiring leader.

🌟 Walk The Talk 🌟 On Friday, June 20th, our amazing Year 9 students took part in a powerful 3-hour workshop centered on Respectful Relationships. 2025 Vinnies Winter Appeal | Winter Stayout – Week 3 ❄️ This is the final week to support Vinnies in their mission to help those facing the harsh winter without the basic comforts of warm clothing or shelter. 🌟 Big News! 🌟 We’re incredibly proud to announce that our very own Angela T was selected by Basketball Australia to attend a national training camp at the Centre of Excellence in Canberra last week! 🏀 This elite camp is part of preparations for the FIBA U16 Asia Cup, taking place September 10–22 in Malaysia. Angela’s selection puts her in the mix for the U16 Sapphires squad, who are aiming to continue their incredible form after a dominant run at the 2024 FIBA U15 Oceania Cup. 🔥 In that tournament, the Sapphires made a huge statement, defeating New Zealand 93–44 in the final to clinch their third consecutive title. Their performance was a showcase of depth, teamwork, and defensive grit — and Angela could soon be part of that legacy!
