On Friday the 6th of June, I had the pleasure of taking ten Year 10 students to the Blacktown City Council Ignite Forum.
The forum allowed visiting students to have their say on a number of strategic plans affecting the future of Blacktown. The students were able to represent the future of Blacktown and express their concerns and ideas.
As always, the students were fantastic on the day and it was great to see them actively participating with members of other schools from the community. Thank you to the following students:

Year Five Science, Maths and Stem Day 🧬✖️ Year 5 students from St Michael’s and St Patrick’s were able to engage in a range of different activities related to science, mathematics and STEM. They were split into friendly groups, supporting collaborative learning and were guided by Year 10 Student Leaders to experience the power of Presentation People. They all raced around the school completing a scavenger hunt in hopes of placing first and celebrating the team victory. 👩🏻🔬🧮 Nagle Girls can truly do anything, as they embraced challenges in a fun and exciting way to race to the end and problem-solve. They should all be proud of their efforts and enthusiasm to put in 100% work. Well done! 👏👏

🌟 Walk the Talk Awards 2025 🌟 On Thursday, 6 November 2025, our incredible Year 9 students attended an evening at NSW Parliament House for the Walk The Talk Awards. An inspiring initiative focused on women’s empowerment and supporting local women’s shelters. 💪💜 Nagle College proudly supports the Parramatta Women’s Shelter, and our students were recognised for their outstanding organisation and dedication to this important cause. 🏆✨ The girls were flying high on the optimism of the event, and their enthusiasm left a lasting impression on the Walk The Talk organisers, board members, and shelter community. We’re also excited to announce that Nagle College will be the first school to create a podcast featuring Tania Smith, Manager of the Parramatta Women’s Shelter - stay tuned! 🎙️💫 @womenscommunityshelters

🎄 Hey Nagle Community! 🎄 As we approach the Christmas season, many families in our local Mt Druitt area are finding it difficult to afford the groceries needed to host a festive Christmas lunch or dinner. 📚✨ Literature Dress Up Day! ✨📚 “YES to new adventures!” 🚀💫 Our students came dressed as characters from books and movies who embarked on exciting adventures - exploring new worlds, embracing new experiences, and overcoming challenges! 🌍🎒 The day featured a dress up parade and prizes for the best dressed characters. 🏆🎭 It was a wonderful celebration of creativity, imagination, and the joy of reading! 💕📖

Today we paused to remember. Our school community came together for a meaningful Remembrance Day ceremony to honour the bravery, service, and sacrifice of those who have fought and served in times of war, conflict, and peacekeeping. Students and staff reflected on the importance of remembering those who gave their lives for our freedom and those who continue to serve our country today. Through readings, music, laying of wreaths and a moment of silence, we paid our respects and expressed our gratitude for their courage and dedication. 🌺 Lest we forget.
