Olympic Change Makers
Late last term, Year 10 student, Jessica Laurance, competed at the Oceania Athletics Championships in Townsville, QLD.
This event sees competitors from countries throughout the Oceania Region including Australia, Regional Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, The Solomon Islands, Tonga and many others.
Jess competed in the U18’s category for the 100m, winning the Silver medal with a time of 12.66 seconds. This is an amazing result, competing against the best athletes within the Oceania Region.
